چکیده
Introduction: The ankle is an amazing structure because it helps transfer vertical to horizontal weight bearing and rarely deteriorates over the course of a life time. This study aims find out prevalence functional instability in athletes determine effect posturography training on balance with joint instability. Material Methods: This was conducted two phases. In first phase after obtaining informed consent, descriptive among 453 students from Department Physical Education were included (FAI). participants distributed Modified Ankle Instability Instrument questionnaire brief explanation about FAI studied. instrument has high reliability, feasible appropriate way obtain information presence symptoms.21It contains 11 yes/no type questions.9 questions focus injury, last 2 knee for exclusion purpose.12 questionnaires found be incomplete remaining 441 completed taken data analysis.Among questionnaires,207 excluded as they have leg injuries. With 234, 43 18.4%.From them, 39 entered II given using commercially available device, Posturograph-the Biodex Balance Stability System (BSS) (Biodex, Inc., Shirley, New York). Results: 18.4% present study. The most common age group 21-25 years(52.2%). Male (58.5%) outnumbered female participants(41.5%). Most had normal BMI.Underweight population 20.4% overweight 5.9%. events participated by football (25.85%),basketball (14.51%) volley ball (12.24%).Of total ,207 (46.9%) associated injuries hence not analysis. There no association between relation gender game - wise demonstrated above table. There significant observed BMI hockey players ( = 6.195, p =0.045).There difference anterior reach distance, posteromedial posterolateral distance affected at baseline (p <0.05) Conclusion: results showed that posturograph effectively improved also enhances stability ankle. addition, may increase patients interest participation rate treatment more than existing therapy methods.

متن کاملEffects of balance training on post-sprained ankle joint instability.
BACKGROUND Ankle sprain is a medical condition when ankle ligaments are totally or partially torn. The primary cause of ankle sprain is sharp movements like turning or rolling the foot [1]. The ankle sprain needs to be treated right after the trauma, because if not treated it could lead to decreased stability of the ankle joint and lead to chronic ankle instability, which is characterized by in...
